Rod is one of our many success stories. Rod's parents enrolled him in our transiton program when he was in the 9th grade. Our program prepared him to be selected to participate in the University of Memphis/Shelby County Schools Transition Program for special needs students. Way to Go Rod! 



Kem's House Inc., Transition Program is an academically and life skills enriched Intervention Program.

Our goal is to help our middle and high school students who have cognitive disabilities and who are enrolled in a Functional Skills Classroom setting become productive young adults in their communities.

We specialize in tutoring our transition students in the following area:

• Reading 
  
• Basic Math
  
• Life Skills
  
• Job Readiness Skills
• Job Coaching
  

 Our Intervention Tutors use the Multisensory Teaching Approach to instruct our students.  Multisensory Teaching Approach is a teaching method that encompasses the following:

• Kinesthetic  (movement) 
• Tactile  (touching)
• Visual (seeing)
• Auditory (hearing)
