Our Founders

Kem Edwards

Kem Edwards is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Kem’s House Inc. She is a professionally licensed teacher with more than 20 years of experience in education, specializing in special education, intervention, and curriculum and instructional design for grades K–12. She holds a Master of Arts in Teaching degree in Leadership in Special Education and a Master of Science in Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

Kem Edwards is also a licensed LADAC II and NAADAC Level II credentialed counselor with nine years of experience as a mental health counselor. She serves as an advocacy consultant for children with disabilities and is a workshop presenter and trainer for educators and behavioral health professionals. In addition, Kem Edwards is a Tennessee State Department of Education All Corps Professional Literacy Certified Tutor.

Helen C. Edwards

CO-Founder & Chief Administrator of Kem's House Inc. is Helen C. Edwards. She is a professional licensed teacher specializing in the areas of health and P.E. Helen C. Edwards has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education and advanced training in banking. Helen C. Edwards has 18 years of banking experience. She has served in many areas in the banking field. Helen C. Edwards finished her illustrious career in banking serving as operational assistant vice president for a Fortune 500 bank. Helen C. Edwards also has 20 years of experience as an educator. She has served as a public and private school teacher. Helen C. Edwards has also served as a Program Administrator in the area of Adult Education.
